Any thoughts on the new Moto Metal 957's machined ($1500 w/BFG AT/KO 285/70R/17's) versus the Dick Cepeks DC1's with the same tires ($1760). I have a radiant red 07 Dbl Cab long bed TRD. I know they'll rub sum but what do you guys think will look better. My teenagers both voted for the DC1's. The Moto Metals are on back order. There is no chrome on my truck, so I want to go with the all red/black look but still have some bling! I'm going through my second childhood. Thx Mike

Going with the 2.5 Daystar or 3" Revtek, haven't decided. Not that great at figuring out the links guys, but I will try.

Does the lift alleviate the rubbing or am I hitting the mudflaps either way? I am definitgely not doing the frame cut out that one of the Taco owners is suggesting. Mike

no way would u need to cut the frame. it'll rub on the flaps and maybe some plastic in the fender....nothing to the frame unless u were trying to fit 35's no w/ lift

Any difference between the 2.5 vs 3 such as differential drop, tracking, alignment, etc, the guy who wants to install the 2.5 daystar said that the 2.5 would cause less problems

same everything, just .5" taller. i'd install a diff drop either way. doesnt take long at all. u can do that w/ a floor jack, a socket set, and some wrenches

Thanks, I've learned tons on this forum. Taking my Taco in for the TSB harsh ride fix tomorrow. It may not matter down the road with the lift but I am doing it for the principle.

I can't get a firm date on the back order for the Moto Metals, I have the MM 951's on my wrangler, so I may try the DC1s. 4wheelparts have 15 sets on back order with no estimated delivery date. Discount tire csn have the DC1s in by Friday..

I agree some chrome really set them off, those all black KMCs look great on some trucks though!
