so they have like 12 quarts of tranny fluid. Is the rest in the torque converter. I should be able to creep 4 miles huh?

I assume you don't want to use the fluid you drained because you drained it into a dirty oil catch-pan. Call your nearest friendly auto parts store, explain the situation and ask how much for one of their guys to run a few quarts of fluid over to your place. Probably just be a $20 tip to the driver....well worth it!

According to the service manual, there are 11.5 qt in the transmission:

Considering how much the fluid can expand and shrink with temperature, you should be able to granny-drive it to the dealer without damage.

Drive it, tell the dealership to check out the tranny for shift problems while they check the airbag light. Keep your lips sealed about taking the wrong plug out. Wipe the tranny clean of any fluid you may have spread around it.
You know that factory sometimes does not get them filled all the way

Put in 2 qts or tow it, unless you have $2500 for a trans.
