Sometime the past week or so somone posted in a thread how much fuel was in the tank at each given level. Since the search doesn't search for numbers ie "1/4 tank" results in searching for just "tank," I'm lost. Anyone remember this or have a link?

HERE it is... and I wouildn't mind others posting their findings... when your gauge needle is right on one of the levels or the E Light just came on... AND you are real close to a gas station... within 4 miles say... and TOP it off (not spilling out, just a normal full tank)... post how many gallons went in and at what level was your gauge.

So far, the 21 gallon tank has (+/- 0.5 gallon):

16 gallons at the 3/4 full gauge line (down 5 gallons)
12 gallons at the 1/2 full gauge line (down 9)
8 gallons at the 1/4 tank line. (down 13)
    4 gallons at the E-LIGHT (down 17)
2.5 gallons at the E LINE (down 18.5)

E line to empty tank is 2-3 gallons ('reserve')

Update... Filled up today at 1/4 tank line (238 miles)... 13 gallons....

Not related, but was happy to get 18.3 MPG on this tank. It was more highway than city driving.

So a 21 gallon tank at 18.3 MPG = 384 miles per tank.

From 1/4 line to E line is 5.5 gallons or 100 more miles
E line to empty tank is ~2.5 gallons or 45 last chance miles!

Had to drive up to Newport Beach yesterday so today when my needle appeared over the 1/2 tank line, I topped off... It took 8.9 gallons... that is within the 1/2 gallon range of 9 gallons down at a half tank mark, per my past findings.

FULL = 21 Gallons in the tank
    3/4 Line = 16 Gallons (down 5)
    1/2 Line = 12 Gallons (down 9)
    1/4 Line = 8 Gallons (down 13)
    Light On = 4 Gallons (down 17)
    EMPTY LINE = 2.5 Gallons (down 18.5)

    Keep on comparing!
