99 tacoma light issue?

    ok i have light issue with my tacoma, first off when i step on the break the right signal comes on, it doesn't flash it just stays on. then when i make a left signal both signal comes on. i checked the fuse and light bulb and they are just fine, i don't have a check engine light on either? anyone here ever ran into issues like this? pls help i'm out of ideas!

    1st off...Welcome.

    2nd...you have a 1st gen taco (95.5 to 2004), not a 2nd gen (2005 to present). maybe a mod can move this over to the 1st gen forum? you'll get more help over there.

    3rd...do you have the towing package? if so, disconnect the wiring harness for it and see if that fixes your problem. the factory towing packages can cause issues with the lights and cruise control if they short out.
