Lubricating TC UCAs

Im having a shop install my OME kit with TC UCAs tomorrow. Ive read all about the squeaking and so far ive gathered that i shouldnt use an oily lubricant or pb blaster on the uniball, i should use dry teflon spay. Got it..what about for the bushings? Same thing?

Also, anyone think the shop would know to do this and what to use? Or should i just pick up the supplies myself and give it to them?

On a separate note, any words of advise i should give the shop tomorrow morning regarding the install of either the OME or TCs? So far all i can think of is the lubrication, and the fuels lines on the driver side (correct?).

edit: I know this should be posted in the suspension forum; however being that the install is happening tomorrow i figure id try and get the most views as possible.

Chances are they will not know what to use, so you should bring the correct stuff with you. On the bushings, most people use Mobil 1 grease.

Be careful not to over grease the zerks, it is real easy to blow the bushings out.

So i shouldnt have them grease the uniball tomorrow? Im heading down to school this week so i wont be able to grease it again until maybe March, if not then the end of May.

And i should pick up some Mobil 1 grease for the bushings and zerks?

Yea. A tube of it is like 6 bucks at autozone.

And you don't have to lube the uniball. Like I said mine still don't squeak. TC ucas are great. The stuff I plan to use if they do is in a spray can. You just spray it on.

I spray mu uniballs every month or so, just to be sure. Throw a can of the dry film in your truck for when you are away from home if you are worried about it.

Yea i could do that, thanks for the help guys, picked up some mobil 1 a few minutes ago.

For the uniball lube, i can just spray that on myself without taking anything apart? On top and below?

Also, any more tips i can give the shop in regards to the lift & UCAs?

Spray it on the top and bottom of the exposed uniballs. No need to remove anything, not even the tire.

The lift is pretty easy, they shouldn't have any issues. They will probably have to bend the pinch weld inside the fender to get the UCA bolt out.

Use some tri flow dry lubericant on the uniball. The bushings that TC use call for a teflon based grease but I was unable to find it so I used the tacky red Mobile 1 grease and havent had a squeak or problem sense.

Awesome! Thanks man. Yea, i assume they know what they are doing because they do lifts all the time, its just they havent heard of OME so im a bit weary.

Yea i think i should be able to pick some up down at school, but for the install tomorrow im just gonna hand them the mobil 1 i picked up for the bushings and zerks.

Ooo one more thing. You should buy new zerks from autozone. It is super super hard getting them to thread into the holes. Autozone has some that go on super easy. Will save the shop time and also prevent them from breaking one or crossthreading it.

Hmm...im taking the truck in tomorrow at 9, should i just risk it and hope they are able to do it? Whats the worst that could happen, i get a call and i have to run to autozone to pick some new ones up? At this point i think taking the risk is my only option. I go back to school tomorrow so the lift can only be done tomorrow and hopefully in a short amount of time..
