Went to sunrise toyota in oakdale and was denied the TSB had the 08 TSB and it was a no go. Mentioned rough ride and had a 800 lb load. They wanted to fix my squeky springs with rubber insulator. Called toyta corprate and they got no where have to duplicate the conditions. Now I have to load 800-900 lbs of cement bags and bring when I get an appointment. This is bull.

Go to another dealer. Drive over some speed bumps to make sure it bottoms out, take a few pictures and get rid of the weight in the back. Show the new dealer the pics. Read the TSB and describe it exactly as it's stated in the TSB.

Hey, I went to Smithtown Toyota. I used the "harsh ride" complaint and said when I tow a trailer it bottoms. They never batted an eye. They asked me to leave the car one day and order the parts immediately. It was painless. Now I brought the truck there so maybe that helped but give them a try. At very least they know what the TSB is so you won't have to explain it to them.

Sorry to hear of your troubles. You know you're not alone. Ya gotta toss out the "Safety" word. I never hit a bump stop and wanted the springs just to have them so they were there when I needed them. I told the service manager I towed two quads on a trailer and was concerned with the way the thing swayed and "porpoised".

Parts were ordered and work was done the next day.

    Good luck.

Very Good!! This is all you need to know, incorporate the word "SAFETY" (and or, "CHILDREN") Into your request and you are home free.
Bringing your truck in all loaded down or running over bumps to mark up the stops is not only FUNNY it is RIDICULOUS!!!!! I can just imagine the service manager laughing when someone agrees with this request, I am sure it is a shop joke!!! Doc

Yeah I thought the request to load the truck up and bring it in was ridiculous. Manager was an a hole. Going to try atlantic closer than smithtown. Got the truck from then so see what happens.
