Plug and play gears are assembled 3rd members. Call ECGS and they will help you. Or buy the gears / master install kits / and do all the work yourself

If you're swapping the actual gears, there's some work to be done to ensure you have a proper pattern of gear engagement...otherwise you could seriously chew your expensive new metal in just a few dozen miles.

Either read up and do your homework ahead of time, or get a good shop to take care of it for you.

I've been reading up like a mofo, and I still plan to have a shop set up the diffs (nice to have the warranty). I can handle getting them in and out of the truck myself.

Here's a good primer on differential setup if you want to try to attempt it yourself:

Ok so i have a 2.7 3rz motor with a few engine mods and 33 inch KM2's, would 4.56 be better to regain some lost torque and power or should i go to the 4.88's :confused::confused:

You have a 1st gen, this is 2nd gen. Just saying...

What gears do you have now? May want to go over there and ask though.

Clearly you need to read the code of conduct here at TW

We are NOT an offroad site and street trucks are more than welcome here. We also have rules about name calling. Just sayin
