I've made arrangements with my mother-in-law, she's letting me park inside the gate now, but I have to get up at 4-5am to move the truck because she's going to work and I'm blocking her. It sucks to get up that early, but it's better than to have morons vandalize my cars. Hopefully this will stop them.

the funniest thing is that the cops won't/can't do anything about it. Unless you have a video footage of them vandalizing your vehicle, or if you just so happened to get the license plate or their face...

    crap bolted and welded together....
This happened to me at my GF's place. Every night i parked right out in front on the street, every morning i woke up and walked out something was on my truck. First time yogurt cups all over with yogurt covering everything. Then fruit cups, then paint.

Waited in here suv in the back with a video camera and caught the little bastards. Little punks got worked by me with that vid, got a free truck detail out of it, and those little kids got fined(well maybe the folks did, not sure).

I hope one day you catch someone in the act, its an awesome feeling knowing your about to bring hell.

Yeah, that would be great to catch them in the act. If I knew when they are coming, I would be waiting. After my Camry got vandalized the second time, I actually camped out for a few nights, but nobody came, and after a while I started missing my bed and gave up the stake out idea.

im thankful to live in the country for this reason, but if i ever caught someone doing anything to my truck, i would use my pellet gun (1000fps) and shoot them in their ass.

    sucks about your vehicles though

Sleep better at night after setting up a discreet and inexpensive setup like this. If they come around again, you will hopefully have some usable video.

I am thinking of doing this if the gas thieves keep coming around. Its more than the cost of gas being pinched from my tank, but I would like to know who is doing it. I have an Access Limited tonneau, so I am thinking about discreetly poking this out right above the fuel door, and stashing the dvr in the cubby hole in the bed.
