I am debating the GROM unit for USB for my Taco. I've noticed a few here has this installed. I'd like to use an Ipod as the primary source but be able to plug in a USB stick on occasion.

Can someone tell me why this cable is an option?
iPod/iPhone cable for charging and control

I chatted with their tech support but the guy confused me unfortunately.

    Thanks!

Looks to me like its just a generic version of the cable that comes with an Ipod already. So you wouldn't need it if you still have your original Ipod cable.
