swithching to 4x4?

I have a 2007 toyota tacoma prerunner 2wd with a rear diff lock. However i want to convert it to a 4x4. I have too much value into this truck to trade it for a 4x4 so if anyone could tell me what I have to do or how much it would cost it would me alot, please help on this one Ive been attempting to know these questions for awhile

I think someone on ttora did it, but it is a ton of work.

 

If you were going to go straight axle maybe?

 

If you could find a tacoma 4x4 in a junk yard it will be direct bolt on
