    Hey,

So everytime I hit a bump at low speeds (5-30mph) and the suspension flexs even a little, around the windshield makes a laoud cracking noise. I did a search but only found articles about the cricket chirp motor noise, but this is different. I only know this because I also have this problem. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem? I have a 2011 DC LB Sport and have only had it for 3 weeks and the speedometer is off, Blower motor squeaks, and windshield cracks. I thought Toyota was suppose to be known for its quality. Oh well it is gonna be the Dealerships problem Saturday.

    Thanks guys.

This happened to both the front and rear windshield of my subaru wrx. In the back there was a tab broken off of the glass on the edge, and on the front, the seal had broken and the glass was shifting when I went over bumps.

either way have the dealership show their glass people and replace the windshield.

Mine has done it from day one. Seems to get worse when it is cold out. So far so good I have not had any I'll effects (knock on wood).

I lubed up the rubber seal under the hood up by the windshield with 10w30 and that quieted mine down. Not sure if that's the source of your problem though. May be something simple like that??

I have heard the same noise it sounds like some one tapping on the glass. I can't tell if the sound in from inside or outside of the truck. It is louder on colder days and happens when driving over rough roads or bumps. It makes no noise on smooth roads. Any known fixes?

My truck was doing that...it is the dash and the windshield hitting each other on the passenger side. I had a notepad shoved in between it, but now I have a cut piece from a rubber window tint squeegy shoved in there. Hope that helps...

My dealer "can't hear it," and supposedly there is a TSB for it....
