Alarm stickers in the windows: yes or no?

Discussion in '2nd Gen. Tacomas (2005-2015)' started by novataco, Jan 19, 2011.

?

Should I put the alarm mfg. stickers in the windows of the doors?

  1. Yes. Let them know you have a sophisticated alarm

How about an empty run rack in the back window? Makes one wonder where you keep your guns at night. during the day, they wonder if you have a concealed-carry permit.

When that 2 way alarm goes off, what exactly will you do that won't land you in jail, a hospital, or a morgue?

Best plan is to have good insurance, and a few deterrents that make the would be thief move on to another car.

Get full coverage and LO-JACK... The moron that stole it along with his buddies along for the ride get caught, you get your vehicle back, and have insurance for any damage they caused. It's a WIN WIN!

The way I see it is if they want it there going to get it, so I just do not lock my doors, maybe they will not break the window then realize it was unlocked.. *L* But I keep nothing of value in my truck.. Stock radio and stays super clean so if they look in there going to see empty floor boards. One of the bigger problems here in South Alabama was people would say hey let me get a locking gas cap keep them thieves out. Only to wake up one morning with an empty tank + a hole in the bottom of the tank *L*

Keep expensive stuff out of view, get your windows tinted and park in well lit areas. Not much else you can do to keep meth heads from breaking into your rig. They're not going to take the time to read your sticker.

IMO, that's an invitation to break in and look for the gun. I don't even put my NRA stickers on my vehicles anymore.

Yeah mine has this as well. Not sure I care for it though. I am sure they charged extra for it for the previous owner. The VIN number is everywhere..LOL

I would think that would be faster and easier than siphoning even without a locking cap....

Agree, no warning or clue up front. It would give them less to figure out. As for some for the house.....mine say death, dismemberment, torture or combination of the 3 will occur but they leave out specific brand names of devices used.

yes and i would also place The Club on the steering wheel just to be sure. Its like a red flag for robbers not to 'waste thier time' on your car if they see it.

NRA member sticker. Most ghetto-ass thieves would rather not tangle with an armed redneck.
