I'm not a fan of the chrome, but it doesn't bother me enough to make me want to spend any money changing it out.

It's easy to "kinda" like it with the SSM.

That's why I chose that color for my OR

    Im getting there......
on speedway blue the chrome looks alright i think.......colormatched without a scoop looks kinda strange to me??? what do you guys think......

i also considered painting my grill magnetic grey metallic to solve the contrast problem and still rid myself of chrome ....good idea or not?

When I bought my truck, in Alberta, the only TRD package choices were the double cab sport with colour matched, and access cab off road with chrome. I wanted the chrome grill badly, but I needed the double cab. So I sacrificed colour for space. The matched grille has grown on me though, and I think I prefer it now, though if I had bought a black truck I would still prefer the chrome. MGM for me though, and my grille looks good.

What year is your truck? If it's a 2011 grill I'll trade you my chrome 2011 grill for your black 2011 grill.

    Any takers?

I like the chrome, I am 26 years old, white, southern, and relatively normal. (Thats what the voices tell me any way.....)

I am sure the tacomaworld ninjas are going to judo chop me for saying this, but I SOMETIMES think the color matched looks a bit "ricey". But that is my opinion and damnit; I have an @$$hole AND an opinion just like everyone else.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
It depends on the color of the truck, on SWB or Silver you have to have color matched, on BSP I like the chrome.
Don't get me wrong, I like all of the above with color matched BSP, but I like the chrome better on black. (same with rims, I like black rims, but on BSP you need some color, chrome, polished, whatever, just something)

Color matched grill w/ grillcraft. BHLM and Morimoto Mini HID's Debadged.
I didn't hate the Chrome on my BSP. But I thought if I installed the projectors, BHLM it would look better black, and then the grillcraft group buy hit, and well, it was downhill from there.

Color-matched is almost always a better look. There are exceptions with certain colors though.
