I've owned my taco about 7 months and I have put over 30,000 on it.

I drive all over the country for work... She has been everywhere from downtown Boston to mountain tops in Montana.

Throughout college I averaged about 20-25k a year, because of commuting to and from school. I've put about 10k on my truck since I got it in July, but most of that was from moving for the Air Force (Driving between Ohio and Alabama three times, and from Alabama to California; about 4k miles total). I only put about 150-200 miles on it a week now which would average out to around 8000-10,500 per year.

My '07 only has just shy of 30k on it, so I guess I drive it way more than the previous owner.

Bought the truck in December 09 and now have 8300 on it, and I only drive it on the weekends. That will be changing here soon so I'll most likely hit 20K a year when I start using it as my DD.

I average 600 miles a week, it's 45 miles one way to work and then the weekend errands then throw in the weekend trips to Branson, KC, Indy, and Memphis.

Consultant

I drive around 25K per year, would probably be 35K+ but sometimes I use a company car. I am a consulting engineer which requires me to meet with the clients and visit the construction sites, where ever they may be in the Northeast!

Ya, this is crazy. Looks like my kind is more of the norm. I hope for things to change soon. Driving this much drives me insane, not to mention rush hour, time spent in traffic and the over-all cost.

I think my monthly cost of fuel alone rivals some car payments (it's more than my wife's car payment, on her 35 mpg Scion).

Sometimes, I think it might just be better to live in a NYC type city and just ride the public transit... save on car payments, insurances and cost of operation. Then again, I don't exactly have to share the taco with random homeless people either.
