OME 885 and lift question

I am about to buy a lift: 885 OME coilovers with the top plate spacer, the 1.5 inch AAL, and the Light Racing UCAs.

The 885 coils have a note that I should buy new shocks. I have a regular cab with 40,xxx miles on it and dont really want to buy new shocks. Do I have to get shocks. Also will I need to get longer brake lines. Is there anything else I need?

They recommend new shocks for the valving purposes. You don't need new brake lines.

I'll jump to conclusions and assume you have the stock shocks.

You cannot use the stock toyota shocks with the OME springs. You can use either the OME Shocks or the Bilstein 5100's. There may be other shocks you can use, but the previously stated shocks are the only ones i know of.

I personally have the 5100's (set at zero) with the OME 885's. No problems with them at all...so far

Do you really need it though, what does valving purposes even do?
edit: I do have stock shocks, i saw the 884 OME coils dont have that side note. Would I need new shocks for the 884 coils with a top plate spacer?

you need a shock that can keep up with (accommodate) the different spring rate...stock won't do it. You need Either the N90000 or the Bilstein 5100s

The stock shocks aren't long enough. I had the OME 9000 Nitrocharger shocks and I loved the set up. I got a hell of a deal on some Kings for the rear so I went and got the Kings up front too. For the price and quality OME is phenomenal.

How much lift do you get with the 885's and the 5100's set at 0?
