I have the exact same problems...I have received an answer from one of the two dealers I have taken it to. He said it is an issue with the drive line being misaligned. He said it could be easily fixed with a couple of shims but Toyota won't let him do it. I am currently working with someone from Toyota customer service trying to fix the issue.
Please post back with your outcome. I for one am interested in the solution. It really isn't that big of a vibration, but it sure is annoying when I just paid all this money for a brand new truck and they cant seem to figure it out.

Drive vibration

I am still going on trying to get my low speed vibrayion fixed on my 07 quad cab the similar trucks I'm driving have the same problem but not as prominent!
I have the feeling they will be cosidering it a characteristic if I cant provide some trucks that dont have the problem....thats where am at!!

I have a 07 access cab v6 automatic 4x4 and have not experienced this problem at all with about 8k miles on it. However, I changed the tires from what came on the truck orginally to Yokohoma 265 16 70 the first week I had the truck. Wheels were also changed to a FJ series bought from Toyota.
From what I understand, the vibration is from the driveshaft, but I have not heard of any complaints at the Toyota dealership where I work at. I have seen a few ball joint replacements on the older tacoma's and Tundra's.

The Toyota dealer that I work at has been only open since April, so therefore, its not fair to say this problem doesnt exist. Our customer base is still new and we havent had a large clientel of older toyota trucks. Also, the area does not have a large number of older trucks. Previous to our opening, the nearest Toyota dealership was over 50 mlles away, so Toyota trucks were kinda few and far between here.

Other conditions that could cause but not limited to this vibration problem are mud caked on the inside of the wheels, bad tires, excessive end play, improper balance, defective machining, lack of lube on the sliders, on the driveshaft, engine/trans mounts.

2007 Toyota Tacoma Recalls

Campaign Number: 07V324000 Date: 2007-Jul-26

Component: Power Train: Driveline

Defect Summary: ON CERTAIN PICKUP TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH FOUR WHEEL DRIVE, A SECTION OF THE REAR PROPELLER SHAFT MAY HAVE BEEN IMPROPERLY CAST.

Consequence Summary: THE FRONT SIDE OF THE REAR PROPELLER SHAFT COULD SEPARATE AT THE JOINT AND COME INTO CONTACT WITH THE ROAD SURFACE WHICH COULD RESULT IN A LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL, INCREASING THE POSSIBILITY OF A CRASH.

Corrective Summary: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE REAR PROPELLER SHAFT WITH A NEW ONE FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON OR ABOUT AUGUST 9, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT TOYOTA AT 1-800-331-4331.

This should probably be saved or archived someplace for reference.

The Toyota Lead Tech said this is specifically a problem with the alignment of the driveline. Nothing is off balance and that recall about the drive shaft does not include my VIN. My truck (a three month old 2007) has never been off road, the tires were rebalanced twice, and it still vibrates. After speaking with the Toyota rep for the past few weeks and many visits to two different dealers it has come down to arbitration. My truck started having this vibration at 800 miles and I now have only 1000 more and the problem is progressively getting worse. The dealer I bought the truck from is trying to work with me but I know the outcome will be meek at best. I just want my money back... Don't you think if Toyota knows this vibration exists "normal operating condition" or not, they should at least be obligated to notify impending purchasers that the truck could potentially vibrate at these speeds? I would not have bought it if I knew, hence the arbitration...

I just put brand new 275/16 r18 Nitto Terra Grappler tires on my 07 taco along with a 2" lift. Probably about a month or so of driving it with no problems my TPMS (tire pressure monitoring sensors) would break. I know these are very sensitive but I haven't done any off-roading (yet). I have already had 3 replaced and I still have the same problem. Does anyone else have this issue? any input?

6) Minor paint defect on the tailgate, I guess that the paint coat was kind of thin because there is a bit of rust, I pointed this out with my rep and he told me he will fix it as soon as they have the paint color of my truck.

New '07 Taco giving me indigestion

Unfortunately having problems with '07 access cab 6 cyl. 4x4 with 7K miles. Start engine, pull forward and hear "clunk" each and every time (this has been since day 1). Dealer claimed this was brakes and replaced the squealing brakes and rotors (2nd problem) and still have clunk. Now there is a squeal (3rd problem) in the steering turning both directions but not all the time and of course not in front of dealer! Sigh. Thought Toyota was the tops but very unhappy. Am I alone in my problems?

6) Took me a while to figure out how to maniuplate the "down-hill assist" it still irritates me when I am just wanting to coast up an off-ramp or to a stoplight and then "BAM" it downshifts. The materails on the dash and around the window are too hard (proof: it had to be replaced when the driverside window was busted out by some tard breaking into the truck b/c the glass scratched up the material when he drug himself through the window.) The back window vibrates which irritates me at times but I generally tune out. I haven't noticed the bed much. I have a seat rail that when in 1 particular slot lets the seat shift back & forth which is really irritating. Its one of the furthest one back (seeing as I am rather tall).
The AC isn't very cold on 90+ degree days that is being checked on (again) after they finish the body work.

The thing is, after driving my old S-10 for 11 years, none of that really matters. I think it is psychological... I was always worried the ole POS S-10 would break down and it usually did. I feel confident driving my Tacoma and by the looks of the engine and lay-out it looks much easier to work on.

On the squealing from the turning, check your floor mats.
It may sound silly but on some floor mats they ride up and get close to the shaft for the stearing column. Because your feet will tend to move the mats around (assuming they aren't anchored) you will have the problem intermittently.

Had that happen to me and it drove me nuts and worried the hell out of me until I figured it out.
