bolts that hold on skid plate

what size wrench will i need to remove them? gonna go put a trd skid on. thx

 

I want to say 12mm...either than or 14.

yep the're 12mm.
i need my skinny roomate though, i couldnt fit under my truck so i couldnt get it to line up straight lol

 

I used a 12mm socket and a 8mm 1.25 tap and die to clean up threads but I have a 2.7 if that makes any difference.

 

wow, are you that lazy? grab a few diff sized, 12-14, and find out which one fits. you probably spent more time typing on here than it would have taken to find out for yourself.

 

12mm for both front two and rear two. I just purchased the skid plate from a Toyota dealership and they informed that the skid plate was not TRD but rather just a toyota "upgraded" skid plate. Just wanted to pass that along..unless there's another skid plate that is infact TRD.

The skid plate took about 10 minutes if that to install. Hardest part being to get those two front bolts started with the factory skid plate aligned.

 

Its 12mm like every one else has said. Its a real bitch to put on. To make it a little easier, take a screw driver and line it up then put the bolt in (for the front 2), for the back 2 those go in first then slide the silver one on then the front two bolt go in.

 

Mine wasn't hard at all. If I remember correctly it as tabs that slide in slits in front and hold it in place so you can hold it with one hand and start a bolt with the other - but then again I could be completely wrong - it's been a while.
