Same thing happened to my tail light over the holiday weekend. It was windy and snowing in Laguna and the next morning I found my tail light busted with a large dent above it and a tree limb lying on the floor. Insurance covered it but still payed the $250.

I hope you the best with this fix.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that. Rethinking. A part of me can imagine a different color all together... black, etc. ?? Just don't know. For now I'm just gonna touch up an area where the paint actually cracked and leave it for a few. It's not even that gnarly of dent. As they say: location, location, location-

Thanks, man. I'm about 3,000 miles away from you, in western North Carolina. Say hello to the Pacific for me. I grew up just west of Sacto. Take care.

If you use enough 420 you could imagine it not being dented.

I think you are absolutely right! Seriously though, I actually would love to add bumpers and a lift and generally make it a tougher, stronger rig. Trouble is, aside from daily mountain living and slopping, and as much as I really like and admire the way so many of you have built your trucks up; I can't really say that I would be able to live up to the burly off-road image myself.
I do hear the call more and more often these days. It's like my truck is daring--no, begging--me to join up with the rough and solid pack of feral off-road animals like so many others already have. We'll see.

See, total dork. Maybe I'll just build a carport... :D
