I sold my 00 Toyota Tundra V8 4WD access cab due to fuel economy. I do miss it though. I used to own an 86 single cab, 2wd 22RE that was great.
I want to purchase an economical daily driver. I don't need snorting hp, I have a Celica GT4RC for that.
I'm leaning towards a 2010 SR5 4 cylinder, auto, access cab with less than 6K on the clock.
I have absolutely no need for 4WD. I live in Atlanta. I go off roading on my DR650.
I would like insight to the pros and cons of owning a 4 cylinder as opposed to a six. What is your experience with owning your model with respect to fuel economy? Does anyone who owns a 4 banger 2wd regret their decision? Should you have bought the 6? Anybody with a 6 wishes they bought the 4? Auto vs. Stick? Any other years better than others? Get the SR5? Don't get the SR5? Etc....
I'm trying to learn about the 2nd gen Taco's. I've been spending quite a bit of time reading posts. I have plenty of experience with Gen 1 Tacos. No door to the "access" area is the deal killer for that generation. It would be great if there was a "sticky" on "Taco purchase considerations" or "choosing the right Taco".
