Once the warranty company indicates that it's covered, why would the dealer not cut the OP slack and release the vehicle? This would be the equivelent of a person going to the doctor's office and them not rendering medical treatment until they receive payment from the medical insurance company. For clarity, I'm not saying that the dealer should be blamed for the warranty company not paying immediately, but rather the process of waiting for payment before they release the vehicle for a repair that is covered. The dealer sold the warranty policy to the OP and in essence vouched for the company, that is why they are partially to blame.

BTW, none of us knows how often this actually happens...

Just got off the phone with the dealer. Still have not received payment from fidelity. They will not let me take the truck. I bought the warrenty through colonial Toyota in orlando fl. And now my dealer premier Toyota in Middletown ri is telling me they no longer sell that warrenty cause sometimes payment take up to two weeks!!!!!! Wtf why wouldn't they tell me this first so I could put money aside to pay and then get reimbursed. This sucks balls lol

That is really, really gay. Any way you can short-circuit the Fidelity payment by just paying out of pocket, and then contact Fidelity yourself for a reimbursement? Or have we gone too far by now?

Isn't it amazing how a dealer will sell you a vehicle on a 5, 6, 7 year loan and allow you to assume a debt of 20,000 dollars or more, then turn around and act like you are not good for 500 stinkin' bucks. Assuming the warranty they sell fails to follow through. What a lousy way to treat a customer. Toyota corporate should be made aware of this. Do they really think this will bring you back, down the road when you are looking for a new vehicle ??

OP, I'm sorry to hear you're having issues and thanks for bringing this to the attention of others on this forum.

    Brunes,

I guess my logic wasn't so flawed after all- except that I assumd the OP used the dealer where he purchased the warranty coverage...

no its not at the same dealer.. i purchased the truck in orlando fl.. i now live in Rhode Island. so going to the original dealer was not an option.. even at that the work was aproved and fidelity told the dealer that payment has been submitted. but the dealer just has not recieved the fax to verify it..

I may have missed it, but have you called the warranty company to pressure them into speeding things up?

The warranty was sold by Toyota at a dealership. They should be taking this up with Fidelity while you are in your truck driving it. Let them fight about it amongst themselves. You shouldn't be trapped in this bullshit AND if they were worth a shit they would have up'd the loaner car right up front. Buncha twiddledick nonsense. Fuck fidelity and fuck the dealership! Charge them for wasting your time.

Now this is exactly WHY I do all my own work. I don't have to deal with any fucktards from dealership, pay arm & leg for extended warranties and deal with the stupid dealership run around.

I bet I would have the water pump replaced in the same time that you spent going to dealer & sitting around waiting for your truck...

I would be very pissed. I'd use my second set of keys, find MY TRUCK and drive away. I am sure they didnt tell you that before they did the work.
