Sorry if this has been asked already! But i am about to order a SGii for my truck, should i order a longer cable with it? I plan to use a blendmount for it! Also does it effect my warranty?

    Thanks!!!!

Stock cables worked well with my Blendmount, ran through the dash, up the A-pillar and under the headliner, no extra required.

I don't see how it could impact your warranty in any way. You're not modifying anything at all, just reading values that are being output through the OBDII port.

I have scan gauge mounted above mirror on my Tacoma. Cable is long enough. I ran it accross front of head liner and down A-Pilar.

No idea about longterm quality yet, but I bought an ultragauge, which comes with 6' cable IIRC. Downside is it's not detachable like SG. But for 1/3rd the cost, I'm 100% happy with mine. I got the $9 rebate in about 3weeks.

The cable that came with the scangauge was long enough to reach the mirror for the blendmount but I still used the cable extender that came with the blendmount so that if I want to take the scangauge off and use it in another vehicle I don't have to get a second cable or take apart my truck again.
