I've been looking for a new rear bumper for my Tacoma but I've only been finding allpros high clearence one. Anyone running a different bumper or know of any other shops that can fab and ship one? Thanks for the input.

CBI high clearance wrap around bumper. Very sturdy, i've put it to work on trails with no issues.

I have the Armor Tech one. Very happy with it. I have an All Pro one for sale though.

I definitely like the plate style, but I've got tube style Baja Bumpers front and rear. BTW, I'm putting matched fiberglass corners under the taillights.

I disagree. I've bent mine in a few places that I have had to bang out. Mainly the lower lip. The hits to the bumper weren't really that hard either but bent the bumper pretty good. The side pieces are also pretty flimsy.

I could see how the side pieces are flimsy. How old is your bumper? i know they did some modifications to the design a lil while ago. That sucks that it bends, but i have yet to have any problems with mine

I have the first run of the bumpers. It looks like they gusseted the back side of the bumper which should help. That was the weak link. If you landed on the lower lip it would just crumble. As for the side pieces, they look like they might hold up if you grazed the bottom of them but it you touch the sides of them they touch the bed.

The nice thing about the Armor Tech bumper is that the lower portion is 4x4 (or 6x6, I'd have to measure it) square tube so you can land on anything and it wont bend.

I have nothing against All Pro. They make a great product for what it is and they have some of the best customer service around. I think their products are more geared towards clearance and not so much impact.

To each his own, but I wouldn't run that bumper if it was free, and I usually think CBI's stuff is actually pretty decent, but that's plain ugly IMO.

If you or anyone here has personally had a problem with our products, then please PM me. If we become aware of any ways to make improvements we do so. In fact, for those we got our original run of rear bumpers, we are offering weld-on backing plates at no charge. We test our products on our own trucks on harder trails than most will ever do, but it is impossible to experience every possible scenario, which is why we encourage feedback.

It is funny how the "All Poo" name was started by a competitor who sells products that are made in China, when we make everything right here in So Cal.

Bot a Rocktek bumper from TRD dallas very happy with it. I need to tow with my Taco and did not like the All Pro set-up. Their receiver hitch with license plate bracker over the top seems more like an after thought to me. Just my two cents. Looks good if you do not need to tow.

I commend you for standing behind your product and soliciting feedback to continually improve. Badgering other retailers and products however isn't going to win you any customers. One snide remark does not require another in return. :boink:
