Tape to Re-Badge?

    I've de-badged the truck and cleaned the remaining residue with Goo-Gone.

    I closely inspected the OEM tape and found it is a foam tape that appears to be just about the same size (thickness) as the role I got at Wal-Mart. Since I sill have to prep and paint the badges it will be a few days before I get to re-badge.

    Looking at the back side of the badges there's enough irregularities to make me think a real thin non-foam tape would not adhere as well as the foam tape.
