so i was in Brazil on business for a couple months and just got back to the states lastnight.

its been about 4 months since last oil change and i went to the local jiffy lube

i have changed my own oil many times on my truck 2005 ac trd offroad so i know the difference between the oil pan and tranny pan anyways i started to drain the oil and it looked like a deep red color so i finished draining and pour it into a clear container and in fact it was a deep red color wtf !!

so my question is what could of cause the red color ?
did jiffy lube put tranny oil in for engine oil?
what effects would that have on my truck ?
could coolant be leaking into the engine oil?

any help on this would be great
    thanks in advance
    john

X2.. sounds like you mighta got Jiffy-screwed. If it was coolant, It wouldn't make it red, at least not to my knowledge.. What motor oil are you using?

Judging by the 44 pages of Jiffy Lube complaints in this link it's hard to say exactly what they did...
    http://www.consumeraffairs.com/automotive/jiffy_lube_damage.html

I'd have that fluid analyzed...doesn't sound good. You might try contacting the establishment to see what brand of oil they use and show them what you drained out...good luck.
