BFG All-Terrain T/A KO (Load Range E) Anyone running these?

I am going to be moving up from the Rugged Trails 265/70/16 to the BFG T/A KO 265/75/16 I noticed the Load Road is E.... what can i expect? Anyone have these same exact tires in the (E Load Range)

 

Ran 'em on the old Taco and have 'em on the new. Some folks say the E rating is way overkill for the Taco and yields a harsh ride. If that's the case, I don't notice it. I'd much prefer the tougher E tire over a P-rated tire. I've had one flat with BFGs in 10 years. Works for me.

 

rode some 285/70/17's for 50k and had no issues with them...good on the roads and handle off-road very well, didn't really notice a harsh ride at all but they are a great upgrade from the rugged fails...alot of people on TW ride them and as far as AT tires are concerned, they continue to be a top choice

 

I went from a Rugged Trail 265/70/16 (stock) to the BFG T/A KO 285/70/17 with after market wheels....still rides nice and smooth, very close to the rugged trail BF tires.

 

I've got these as well...I think they ride great, but they're like marshmallows compared to what I'm used to. I've had two Honda's w/17" and an Audi with 19" wheels and sport/lowered suspensions so just about any truck/suv feels like a pillow top mattress compared to what I've been driving for the past 8 years.

 

I've ran BF's on all of my tacomas and i don't think the E range is overkill for the truck. To me they ride and handle great, the only thing is that i loose a little mpg with them but it's worth it to me when i don't have to worry as much where i drive

 

I plan on doing the same thing to my Taco as soon as my rugged fails are done which should be pretty soon. I haven't had any flats yet, which seems like a miracle based on all the reports here and what I have done with my tires.

I don't think they make these in anything but an E load range. If you don't want the extra weight and slightly harsher ride check out the General Grabber AT2's. Tread pattern is nearly identical and they do make them in the correct load range. I had these on my last 05 and loved them. I had put 30k on them when I sold the truck and they were still at 75%.

 

What size AT2 were you running on your 2005? 265/75/16 are load range E only as far as I've seen.
