EDITED; i recently tryed the mod for a 08 taco seat belt chime on my 2011 taco. i guess they decided it was time for change. it would"nt work on mine. i tryed a couple different things and finaly got it,

-KEEP YOUR FOOT OFF THE BRAKES THROUGH ENTIRE PROCESS!!!!!!!!!!!!
-get in truck and shut the door.
-turn key on and get your insterment panel on ODO and turn key off.
-turn key back on, as soon as u do that press reset knob.
-hold reset knob for 12_15 seconds and fasten seat belt.
-xxxx miles should turn to b_on.
-release and press one time, it should say b_off.
-wait for it to reset back to miles and turn key off.

=seat belt chime should be turned off.

EDITED; sorry i just edited this message. it was late when i wrote it up! try it now and let me kno if you have better results.

good luck, if you have any problems let me kno

here are the steps i used that worked...slightly different than above....

    1) Turn the Car 'ON', but do not start the engine (Leave your foot off the brake). Cycle your trip reset knob until it reads ODO. Turn the ignition back off. Wait a couple of seconds.
    2) Make sure seat belt is not fastened
    3) Turn the ignition back on, do not start the car (Leave you foot off the break) As soon as you see everything light up, press and hold the trip reset knob and do a long 12 second count.
    4) Keep your finger on the trip reset knob. Fasten your seat belt, as soon as you fasten your seat belt, you should see the ODO display go from XXXX miles to "b-on". At that time take your finger off the trip reset knob and press it again. It should cycle to "b-off". You should be all set and turn the ignition off and unfasten your seat belt.

Just do up the seatbelt and then put seat covers over top. You won't hardly notice the seatbelt underneath if you tuck it in!

    Cheers.

I am pretty sure this will stop the beeping when a seatbelt is undone while you are driving, for example, your passenger taking the seatbelt off before you get parked.
But, it STILL beeps if you get in the truck and start it before your seatbelt is on, at least that is what mine is doing.
When I get time, I am taking the gauge cluster out, and ripping off the damn beeper from the back of it.

I'm going to have to try this... My truck just started randomly beeping about 2 weeks ago. I have a feeling it's an issue with the sensor in the passenger's seat, although the little "seatbelt light" on the dash never seems to light up when it's acting up...

No dice for me. 2011. Tried it several times using the first set of instructions, then the updated set, and even similar notes from previous threads. Guess I'll just go with the earplug mod. Frustrating.

The silence is nice if you're in the middle of nowhere, driving 5-15mph stopping and starting to see things.

Otherwise always have the seatbelt on.
