    Wow We have 1 42" Plasma 1 55" LED 1 42" LED 4 22" LCD Monitors
    4 notebook computers. 2 desktops.

2 TVs are out of warranty and past any extended Warranty we would have purchased. 3 notebooks are over 5 years old. The plasma is 5 years old. only

no warranties on any of em. Money saved. $2357 on warranties not purchased....Only one notebook Dell aleinware M11X and one TV would still be "covered" and no issues,

EWs are a waste of money plain and simple unless you have trouble sleeping and losing a TV would be a catastrophe...

Extended "warranties" are nothing more than administered INSURANCE policies. As a rule insure yourself against catastrophe, not inconvenience and you will save a boatload of money over the long run

One thing to always keep in mind with EW's is the cost ratio. For instance I paid $1100 for an 8 year 100,000 mile Plat plan from Troy. On a $30,000 4x4 truck that is roughly 3.6% of the overall price. A truck has many parts that can go bad overtime.

With a TV or laptop you may pay $100 to $200 for a $1000 TV. Now you are in the 10% to 20% of the price range. This is a much harder pill to swallow.

Yes it is an insurance policy but one thing you will never hear is a widow saying she wished the dearly departed did not buy that insurance. Not everyone will ever use it, in fact most will not, but it is the piece of mind that you pay for and hope you never need it. The trick is to get it at a reasonable price. Dealerships will not offer that, but discounters like Troy and Jerry at Midwest can offer a much better deal.

Bought an extended bumper to bumper warranty for mine. I'm covered up to just shy of 100000 miles. Paid 1200 for it. If anything breaks on the truck it's covered except for normal wear and tear items of course. If anything major breaks, such as ECU, engine, transmission etc. it's paid for itself. If it doesn't then that's great. I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

With all the electronics on vehicles today it's near impossible for a shade tree mechanic to fix the things we did in the past. That's why I got it. I also recommend gap insurance it's saved me a couple thousand before.
