if it is something major they will/should go through insurance. It would be too expensive.

He said he does have paperwork showing he did pay 26k for it. He is on stock gears and he says he gets 18mpg with a 6in lift..does that sound right? It is a trd off road..does that mean 3:73?

That is what I was thinking..what do you think is more realistic? I know on an f150 it would be around 10 mpg.

i am far from an expert on this, but i'd say 14-15 is more realistic.

If that is what you want in a truck do it. I wouldn't touch it with a stick personally. Is your question answered yet?

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

The three red flags argument raised before are very valid points. If you have any LEO friends, have them run the VIN and license plates to look for discrepancies.

Answering questions like if you have seen the truck in person would be a great way to prove you are not simply a troll...

If you can you can also take the truck to a local autoshop to have it checked before you buy it... You will get around 9-12 miles to the gallon with what it has. I had a tacoma with similar set up and that's what I got. Could be the reason why he is trying to get rid of it.

It is a tacoma. they are reliable trucks, I don't think I need to worry that much about it being messed up. I will look it over very well though. I might bring it to a shop too. Seems like on forums people are very scared of buying lifted trucks. He has only had the lift on for less than a month.

yea becasue he has only had the whole truck for about a month...did he put it on or was it like that when he got it?

It sounds like a sketchy craigslist deal to me. People are always trying to sale stuff "quickly becasue of an upcomming deployment"

Dude you not going to be happy with Tacoma just keep Ford, Those Toyota's are horrible trucks. Your Ford is excellent. Forget about Toyota, delete you TW account and stick to Ford and F150 forum.
