I recently bought a pair of bucket seats out of a wrecked 2007 fj cruiser and did the switch. I love my new seats way better then the stupid bench seat and now i have an excuse to not drive that third person. It was a straight bolt in deal the only problems i have are the seat belts and the huge wiring harness for the air bag sensors that i decided not to put in. I have one question about the seat belts. Does anybody know if i got the fj cruiser seat belts, would it be a bolt in or would i have to fab something to make it mount. thanks for looking

new seats look a heck of a lot better in there then the bench def.. thats the one thing i would have eventually changed in my 2001 if I still had it because it had a bench seat and was annoying especially since i have back and neck problems, sitting completely straight up and down kills me... as far as the seat belt question, i have not dealt with that or have known someone who has to help you out sorry :notsure:

That looks great, especially since the FJ has that built-in arm rest. Sorry, I can't help you with the seat belt but I think that was a nice upgrade for your truck!

That looks awesome I like that a lot, and I think I like it better than the stock taco bucket seats. I have thought about doing this many times but the only thing that stops me is I need the three seats or at least room for 3.

So my question is with the fj seats and no center console do you think there is enough room for a 60lb pup to sit in the middle? Or about how much room is there between the two seats?

Id really like to see if this will work cuz I hate the bench too!i would love to find a split bench kind of like the ones in the ford ranger (yes I said it) the seats recline its split 60 40 and the center seat folds down for a center console that's really what I want

So what did you end up doing about the seat belts?
I really like this option, but want to know what I'm getting into.

Think it looks great. Going to do anything with the middle space? Looks like it would hold something cool...

Wow! they look sweet. CAn you elaborate more on the swap? Does this work in a double cab, I can't see why not? What did this mod entail. Thanks!

Theres only one junk yard here so all the vehicles go there. I'm in the process of finding all the pieces to the center console. The install was simple unbolted the bench seat took it out bought some new bolts put the new seat in bolted them down. The holes were already there its just under the carpet

Forgot to mention that it would fit a double cab because its the same mounts but why would you want to? If your liking the black it would be cheaper just buying seat covers

i believe the bench seat belt won't clip into the fj bucket buckles.
