My 2011 TRD Off-Road.

Been lurking on this forum for a couple weeks now. I am a new Tacoma owner (drove a ford ranger before, but never again.) I wanted to wait until I had a picture to make my first post and snapped one this morning. So here it is.


I'm now starting the slow process of sinking even more money into it, once I have it!
Including, Nerf bars, roof rack, winch etc etc

Welcome , is that the stock 2011 grill?

 

yeah it is, have not changed anything yet.
I love the looks of the clean grills with no emblems. That might be what it looks like eventually. But I think it's a great looking truck stock.

I do have one obnoxious comment, however... I would suggest sliders instead of nerf bars, for both looks and function.

Welcome! Sweet truck! I am a short time member here as well and I was also driving a Ranger previously. The Tacoma is light years ahead of the Ranger.

I agree. I had a single cab 02 2wd Ranger and I thought that truck was going to be the death of me. I could never recommend one based on my experiences.

 

It is a hard area to make a living in. Since moving here I have been determined to get my degree in forestry, that will open up a lot of options with the usfs.There is a good amount of logging, along with seasonal jobs in the forest. I have had to shift my priorities since moving here. A new truck is the exception to that.

Nice truck! I bought its twin, except access cab, last week. I am originally from that general area, but closer to Mt. Lassen. Beautiful country! I also used to drive a Ford, the Tacoma is a big step up. Now live in West Virginia and work with our forest and natural resources industries. Good luck to you!

AGREE!. Currently I have nerf bars and wish they were sliders. For one the way they drop down for the step makes your truck look shorter(closer to the ground than it really is), and in my personally experience I've kinda got hung up on fallen trees and rocks, which is just annoying when you know its no prob for your truck but then something stupid like that happens.
