2010 trd sport

I have 2010 TRD Sport with Bluetooth added at the dealer after purchase. At speed on the highway, I am unable to understand most of the transmission from my wife. At slow speeds or stopped, the quality is OK. The dealer states this is normal. The microphone is located above your right knee opposite ignition switch. Any ideas? Will changing to another brand microphone or location or both do any good?
