    When I am in reverse, apply the brakes, stop, then shift to drive, drive forward, then lightly apply brakes: vice-versa: I get a clanking metal sound.

    I figure it's just the brake pads, but is something loose? It will only clank with the first initial application of the brakes

    Alpine HU, Apline 6.5 3 way Speakers, Access Cover.
    Its the free floating brake pads. Once thery get half way worn in the front they make this sound. I changed mine out just to get rid of noise.
