Same with my truck way back in the day. Took it like a champ.

The composite bed is remarkably strong.

why not rent a truck or borrow a friends full size truck?

If you are at a rock yard they will put your truck on a scale. I have a dc sb and loaded about 1500lbs of rock without any problems. I was only driving avout 3 miles from my house though. You might be surprised by how little rock you actually get to reach that 1500 lbs. 6 loads later and I was done. If you need a lot just pay the $30 for delivery. One trip from a dump truck and if they can dump it in the right place, you can be done working in an hour instead of spending all day shoveling rock.

Probably because he already has a pickup capable of handling the job. ;)

just sayin, since he seem's a little worried about damaging his truck. I always borrow my friends full size Chevy for loads im not comfortable hauling with my truck.

The composite bed is pretty tough. Still, depending on how big and how far/carefully the bobcat operator dumps them it will probably scratch or gouge it pretty good if not protected at all. But then, it's a truck and you're using it as intended :). AT LEAST it won't rust on you... double plus for the composite bed!

I have a stall mat I use, a lot tougher than most commercial bed mats, that would protect against large stones but if one should roll into the wall while being dumped it could scratch/gouge anyway.

Didn't hurt mine! Didn't even complain with the trailer full of rock behind it either

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I really doubt it will hurt it, these beds are tough. Just make sure he doesn't drop the load from high up, that or just shovel it in.
