Dealer insists Toyotas running board are superior to almost all after market boards he is also going to sell me them at cost. insists after markets are just built cheaper especially Westin and rust and ding alot easier. What should i do, go after market or OEM.

square tube sliders... good as steps and you can use them as a jack point. they crush rocks and they will certainly crush toyota running boards...

Westin anything is junk. Bolt on chrome (and similar without chrome) is not worth the pot-metal it's made of.

Factory anything (for any car anywhere) will kick the crap out of aftermarket in almost every way (intended use) almost all the time.

The toyota running boards are from a different planet than aftermarket.
And get the running boards. The pontoons are lame and sliders are a bit pretentious on an IFS truck. But if you need something that can support the truck or deal with very minor impacts without damage, a few sliders will fit that bill.
