LOL, somewhere on a Chevy forum .....

"Yeah, I had to pull a Tacoma out of a snowbank today"

It's ALL good, we help out our fellow 4-wheelers whoever they are. Sometimes we're the helper, and sometimes the helpee. :)

Next time, try giving it a push while he has it in reverse. Spin the steering wheel left to right as you try to get out. Bounce up and down in the bed while he tries to drive out.

 I'm surprised she was willing and able to help! I am under the distinct impression that many women driver's don't know what that 4HI-4LO selector switch is for! :D

im sure she just said, "oh sure". . .let him hook up the chain/rope, dropped the column shifter three clunks and hit the gas until she heard OP screaming to stop.

Actually, I helped a buddy put 285 duratracs, with studs, and a lift, on his Rubicon, and he complained bitterly how the tires just spun in deep snow, on the side of the mountain he lives on...

he finally went back to a old pos ford 1/2 ton 4x4 with chains on all four corners.

Now, the wife has been VERY happy with the Blizzaks on her Wrangler Sahara, and when it snows again, my taco has for firestone winterforce UV tires with studs, on 17" wheels waiting to be bolted up...

Glad you got out OK, last time I got stuck in a parking lot snow bank, I was trying to drift bust with a chevette, and the drift was plowed up ice and snow.

    stock, for now
I had an experience to counteract yours..Me and a couple buddys of mine went out for some food one night..Sat down, had maybe 2 beers each and some food, watched a band play then decided to leave..Its around 1130 pmish, and where he was parked in his chevy suburban, was about a 3' tall snow pile in front..I was kidding him, and said bet your CHEVY cant make it thru there, so he tried it and yep, framed it. Had a young girl in a manual trans cherokee try to pull out a 2500 suburban, nope..could smell clutch burn...Called a few other "friends" but no one was around. Finally called one of my buddys with his tundra..He came out in no time, and barely tugged the strap and out it came. Yes, people were stopping to take pics and laughing..All of our prides were bruised that night..lol No harm, no foul tho.

It's all about fun and you have to have some once and while as long as no one gets hurt.

    Nice...
What can you do to avoid it next time?

    *Puffs out gut
    *spits
    *puts thumbs in front pockets
    well...

    Nah, that stuff happens.
Fun story though. I know the feeling when you start to feel like your getting stuck and your heart rate goes up a little. Then you get stuck and right away you're like how can I get this thing out and around the corner before someone sees. Eventually you get over your pride and ask someone for help.

and PS... hell yeah we would have still liked to see the pics. I mean.. come on!
