i ran the wires from the lights right in behind the bed pockets. i just wanted to avoid more holes in the bed. most of the wiring is directly behind the bed pockets. the pockets come out pretty easily. i mounted the switch in one of the pockets upside-down and connected one wire from the nearest light to the switch. the other wire from that light went to a stud that already existed in the wheel well behind the pocket. the other side of the switch went to the engine bay fuse box. the passenger lights were the same for the ground wire but the hot wire had to be extended from the passenger side of the bed and brought over to the driver's side and connected to the switch as well.

when you take the cover off of the fuse box you will see a hot wire coming into it off to one side. it has a hex nut securing that wire. that is a hot lead straight from the battery.

yes i think it would be enough. but if i'm not mistaken they're sold in packs of two? i could be wrong on that. wiring the second light was not very much extra work though.

probably could. i considered that but i wanted a constant power source so i could turn them on without having the key on. but if you park ouside on the street you could be open to somebody messing with your truck and leaving the lights on all night for you. but i bet being LED they wouldn't drain the battery in one night. i have a garage so i'm not worried.

Do the lights have a fuse in the cct, or fused switch? Or is it straight to battery? I believe it needs to be fused some were in-between the battery and switch.

you're right. they don't include one so you'll have to provide your own.

Hey I just got an idea. I would like to install the same lights but use my power outlet switch as an on/off. Would that be possible (outlet online = light on).

only problem is that the outlet is 120v and the lights run off of 12v. unless you run a line up to the actual swich in the dash.
