Spare carrier what do you think!?!

A friend of mine made it for me, what do you think?

Its extremely sturdy too. I was somewhat worried of how the composite bed would hold up but with the plates and washers underneath its going nowhere. I go on some pretty rough roads at fast speeds and there is not one sign of fatigue.

Nice Carrier. make sure to tie it down before offroading it will rip the fiberglass in the bed..

 

Nah, if you put a bigass plate underneath it will be fine!!

I really want a swing-away but I won't be able to fit the taco in the garage with one...I only have about 3-4" left of clearance

Looks great...I made one a few years ago for the 68 Dodge Utiline pickup, where the spare mounts on the left side of the bed with a fender cut out.

I need one for the Military Power Wagon, the spare is strapped to the back of the cab

 

Definitely like it better than being under the bed, and havent seen any stress cracks even with how I drive. The plates underneath seem to be doing the job!
