I have a snuglid sl but just bought a used retrax cover.... lol.

    Snuglid vs retrax

S offers complete weather protection for bed / R almost complete with the exception of 2 drain holes in the bed connected by plastic tubes. Previous owner also mentioned corners may get a little damp during heavy rain

S looks more sleek = color matched / R is black

S needs washing and waxing = R needs only washing

S requires weight to be opened / R only needs a finger pull

S offers more security / locks tail gate / R doesn't lock tailgate

S only opens and closes / R can open and close + partial

    Both use side rails

S can't use bed for tall hauling / R can use the whole bed minus the front where the canister is

S offers more space when closed = no canister / R has less space when close = canister

    New cost similar

S = 1 piece = harder to store / R can be taken apart = easier to store. No need to store though because bed can be used

    S is carpeted / R is not

S = flat / R's bed rail attachment is about 1/2 inch higher than surface

S bought new, if sold = bigger loss / R bought used, if sold = +,- even

Each offers a different look and function. I use the cover to carry and cover stuff but don't like having to swap trucks just to haul
< 1000 lb machines. In the end, its my decision but would do you guys think?
