ARB Air Lockers

Hey im looking to buy ARB air lockers when i get my new tacoma...any help on what all im gonna need like sizes and everything would be greatly appreciated

For one I suggest getting the SR5 to avoid wasting money on ATRAC and the rear locker if you are just going to install lockers. Second thing you should do is search. After searching check out East Coast Gear Supply.

I heard the ARB Compressors are junk from a friend that rock crawls a Jeep. Is this true? I haven't heard anything else bad about them.

Neither I, that is why I was skeptical of his opinion. Are the mini compressors pretty easy to mount up?

Mostly wheeling up in the mountains on fire roads and trails with frequent snow trips in the winter. Mud and Sand will be secondary, but I'd like to do it all really.

The rear locker will get you everywhere you likely want to go... Had a rear locker on 3 Tacomas so far. If you start getting into serious rock climbing... then you can add a front locker. These things are not cheap, afterall.

Never had any problem with my ARB H/O compressor (fill up all my tires from 18 to 35psi) and as far as lockers, they're nice to know you have them, but I think it's good to learn to try and get through obstacles without them, then you really appreciate them and understand when you actually need them!...but it in the end they're totally worth it

You may want to regear the diffs at the same time you install the lockers. Perfect time to do that.

You can get a pretty good deal from Carl at www.justdifferentials.com and tell him Gadget sent you.

They can send you complete diffs with lockers and gears installed so all you have to do is drop them in, or they can set you up with the individual parts if you want.

I ran dual ARBs in my 96 4Runner for a very long time. Never had any problems with of the ARB stuff including the compressor.

Yeah, I was thinking I'd need a re-gear. This seems like the easiest way to go. I'll drop them a line this week and get some prices. Thanks for the tip!
