i lost interest in anything that had to do with cars for the longest time! so im getting back into cleaning up my truck a bit.

On my new list of mods.
Color match grill surround, handles, mirrors, and rear bumper. repaint my front bumper. Line-x my avid bar, take off the "off road" lights. Get alpine type-s components, because my tweeters are all messed up. Replace headlights, because mine are all sun bleached and gross. and spider-trax wheel spacers.

I have one question. whats the best way to color-match...Buy a new grill? or get some duplicolor?

this will be a good year! im getting lots of money for a few weddings this year so all of that will be going to my truck!

X2 on new grill. If you paint it yourself it wont match, and will get worse as it ages.

Buy a new one Jake. Trust.

Toyotaparts123.com I went to and paid 170 and got the 10' grill with the gunmetal. I think you can also order the 11' for the same price just let them know in the text box at the end of purchase

Buy an ARB/Relentless front bumper.... that way, the grill will look great regardless ;)

Jake if you decide to color match the door handles and have a hard time removing them, PM me. The instructions are horrible....

Also I bought a cheap pair of chrome mirror covers off ebay, sanded the chrome off, and painted them for less than $50 total.

Kpt do you think you can send the instructions?

I've pulled the door panel and tried it but never knew where to begin. And the chrome covers is good. How do they attach?

The instructions are terrible for the rear doors. The front doors are easy, there's just one torx screw on the side of the door.

for the rears, you have to take the door apart. There's one torx screw you can see when you so that. After that, you have to remove the latching mechanism on the side of the door and push it out of the way to get to yet another trox screw that will remove the handle.

As for the chrome mirror covers, they attach via 3m automotive double sided tape.

New or used matched grill. Paint will never stick to the chrome. I mean it does, but every little chip will show chrome, and it'll chip easily.

If you have the black one, the OEM will look better, but painting would be cheaper and easier... arguably easier anyway.
