Speaking from actual lead-acid battery production experience, two batteries, different labels, same manufacturer,...ready for this?.....It's the same battery. They do not change quality control specs just for a label. This isn't just battery production that works like this. Clothing is made with no tags, often times, you are paying for a screen print brand name, embroidery or sewn in designer tag put in place well after the actual making of the garment. Food, cleaning products, anything with a brand name, can often be found cheaper without a brand name. But, by all means, if one finds the need to sport specific brands and eat/consume only specific brand products, go right ahead and pay more for it. It is your personal choice and right.

Although, there will NEVER be a generic Tacoma! There will only ever be one.

Is it though? There are a lot of variables to account for, from one vehicle to the next. Sorry, I'm just in one of those moods.:stirthepot: haha.

Optima batteries are incredible. I run them in my boat. One of them is 7 years old & still going strong.
