Rear Wheel Stuck

So yesterday I attempted to install my AAL after getting off the red eye, hoping this job would be a few hours max then i could get some sleep. Well get everything all staged and i can't get my wheel off. Lugs off, no issues, other wheel just popped off but this sucka would not release.
After much kicking, swearing, and other creative options I finally got the wheel off.
Any suggestion to prevent the stock TRD wheels from welding themselves to the drums? I would hate this to happen in the middle of winter with a flat.

I did end up putting some on hoping it helps in the future.
I almost kicked the truck off the jack trying to get it off. luckily it didn't fall.

 

happed to my little rav4 way back when. Noramlly a hard kick to the edge of the tire does the trick...not this time. and it was below zero outside..in a parking lot far fromhom.
I banged the crap out of it with a small hammer and it released.

Long story short, i need the answer to this question too. please.

 

Put a little grease between the wheel and the hub when you put the wheel back on. I suppose using anti-seize would work between the hub and wheel also, just something to act as a bond breaker.

 

I have anti-seize on there now, lets see how things go in the future. granted the New England winter is just about over and no more salt on the roads to aid in the bonding.

 

Needing to fix a flat, I removed all lug nuts on the right rear wheel of my 2010 Tacoma long bed 4x4. The wheel wouldn't budge even when I kicked it and hit it with a sledge hammer from both sides.

I was glad to see from this post that I wasn’t missing removing some other wheel locking mechanism.

So I went back and sprayed WD40 at the wheel/drum junction. I kicked some more, didn't work.

Put the bolts back on fairly loose. I let it of the jack quickly, drove it back and forth off a curb at close to 90 degree angle, jacked it back up. Still stuck.

I got a 7 foot 2x4 and stuck it across under the truck to the tire. Hit it with a rubber mallot. Didn't work.

Put the bolts back on snug then backed off two turns on each bolt. Took it back off the jack. Drove it into the street and did a tight u turn then drove on and off the curb close to parallel with the curb with the left wheel on the sidewalk and curb pushing the stuck right wheel from the inside. Drove it back in my driveway and saw that it was loose . Jacked it up and the tire came off easily .

I forgot to mention the tire had just a slow leak and was not completely flat. It still had about 22 psig.

I will be sure to put some grease on the wheel when I remount.
