I thought if you did a flat finish it will be ruined very quickly by bugs and birds. Since there is no clear on it a bird poop will eat through it in a few minutes. Same with bugs. Plus a matte finish seems like much more maintance.

Isn't there matte clear out there? Just have a body shop matte clear the whole truck if you already have black
