Just got my 2010 Trd truck from the US imported into Canada and up here all the later model Trd's are 4 pack. Why does Toyota still put 3 leaf pack on U.S trucks and 4 on Canadian trucks. Can someone link me to the tsb leaf pack upgrade and will see if a Canadian dealer will do it.

    And to answer your question...
I would imagine that depsite all of us on here knowing about the TSB, we still only represent a small number of the tacoma owners out there. And of those out there in the US most probably don't use their truck as a truck or like the soft ride, where as up north people are more inclined to use their truck as one and there for need the 4 leaf pack.

Yep. Americans prefer a cushy ride. I've heard they're all 4-packs in Mexico too.

To save money bc most people don't know about the TSB, and like the others have said, will never use it to haul loads over a few hundred pounds.

Personally, I think it's immoral. It actually REALLY bothers me that they do this. Toyota advertises the truck's payload as a certain capacity here in the US, which cannot be properly done without the forth leaf. In order to advertise that number and sell them as such, the forth leaf should HAVE to be added. If it isn't, they should have to change the ratings.

This. For every American Taco owner that complains about soft springs, there are probably four VW and BMW owners complaining about soft springs relative to the European versions. As with VW and BMW, aftermarket springs make this difference moot.
