    Forgive me if this is a repost, i honestly searched for a thread already on this.

    I cannot stand the wiper set up on my 2008 base model tacoma, its either fast or super fast.. missing a slow speed, ( i think all tacos are like this )

    Is there a way i can install a new stalk or something with a setting for slower wiper speeds? It would greatly help with light rain.

    Super easy to do. It was one of my first mods to my 09.

    I think you need the SR5 package for the wipers.

    Hi, I have 2013 Tacoma and it supposedly has the intermittent wiper speed but for some reason it doesn't work. Do you need to set it or something? If I put it to that option on the column it never goes! Thought I'd ask here first before I took it on. Thanks guys. :)

    Yes it will work on any second gen.

    Put a Camry stalk in my brothers first gen, works like a charm. Still haven't figured out if another Toyota model would work in the second gens though, would be nice because the taco ones are drawing a premium.

    It should just plug in and work. Nothing else to set. I tested mine before putting the steering column back together.

    new shift knob, intemitten windshield wiper assembly added for lights changed transmission fluid to Redline MT-90.
    I have a 2014 regular cab 2.7L Manual trans 4x4 and changed out the wiper switch assembly (High Low only) to a Intermittent switch assembly. Everything worked. It took less than 30 minutes and is as described on this forum. Plug and play. All of the intelligence for the wiper functions are in the switch assembly. All wiring is there, the wiper motor is the same. Cost $144 including tax and part from local dealer(got a 10 percent discount). Part list for $157 Part number

    Has anybody had an issue with the intermittent wiper suddenly stop working and wipers only go at a fast speed... Then after turning on and off a bunch of times start wiping intermittently again? This just started in my 2013, my friend is having the same issue.

    I've got a 2 door, base model, 5-lugger that I really want intermittent wipers on and came across this thread . . . I'm seeing Toyota Part #
    $144 84652-02610 Windshield Wiper Switch
    84652-02610 - It comes up as not compatible with my truck but I understand why certain systems may say that - Can anyone confirm that this is the correct part for my needs?

    ***EDIT***Amazon is telling me that this is the correct part for my needs Toyota Part # 84652-04141

    Richard: I have a 2009 base 2 EXcab. There are two part numbers that will work. The difference is, as the speed increments on the stalk bar get wider the wiper speed increases or decreases. Both will work fine. This is an easy mod that makes a big difference during rain or mist weather conditions. Hope this helps you out. I would go with the Amazon recommended number.

    Do you feel lucky? Mine came from a salvage yard (Junk Yard) in NJ thru ebay. $65, free shipping, picture looked like new & when I got it, it does look & operate like new. If you ain't got it, get it, it's a no brainer. Appx. 30 min. to swap. Thru this thread, post #17, is the first time I've heard of them giving any problems.
