where to buy toyota e locker?

Im looking for a store or anywhere that sells factory e lockers, can you order them from toyota or the dealership or what?

 

Why E-Locker? Go buy yourself a ARB Air locker.

 

im not looking to spend too much money on my daily driver, an e locker would work just fine for what i do with my truck

 

I have done tons of research on this exact thing. By the time you get all the parts to do the E-locker correctly, you could have installed an ARB air locker. The ARB will also be stronger in your 8.4 housing.

I ended up getting a powertrax no-slip, takes a little getting used to but im happy with it

I was just looking into this for my daily driver. I, too, don't have a cool $1000 for an ARB, and I really wish Aussie Locker made one for my 1998 rear end, but they don't. (a quick call today and the guy said they plan on having one in the next 4-6 months. Apparently Tacoma rear ends are North America specific).

What are your impressions of the powertrax? I would want it for staying on the road most of the time, but not getting stuck in the snow or (occasionally) mud. Is it weird? Does it make any noise?

 

I am looking at a no slip too. What are your recommendations?

 

I had a noslip in my jeep for years and it was a great locker. Didn't cause fast tire wear either. It is a great, affordable option.

 

I put an entire elocker axle from an 07 in my 06 and made my own wiring harness, a relay, and a factory button on the dash. even made the lock light in the cluster work. cost me all of $100 plus my old axle. but then again I do work in a salvage yard
