What size boat are you getting? Must be pretty big to max out your 6,500lb towing rating.

With that many mods and accessories and being that new and that low mileage expect to get a maximum of about 90% of what you have put into it. You may only get around 80% of your input costs. If you borrowed most of it you'll probably have to add onto the loan for the new truck to cover the losses on this one.

Financially it's a really bad move to sell now.

Since there is no book on the 11's the trade in will likely be at least $5000 less than new and price it at $30K LOL

Add ons won't increase the trade value since the market for that truck with those adds just became a lot smaller. 50% of the people who buy these trucks don't mod them and that's on this SITE!!! I imagine those who are not as "enthusiastic" about their trucks are even less inclined to buy a heavily modded truck and with such little miles a lot of questions will come up....

The worst being it was owned by a kid and it was in a recent wreck, or repossessed. One would have to save a lot of money to buy a used 2011 and want all those mods as well. Then the dealer will want to make their $2000.

So what would those of you who bought 2011s pay for this truck truthfully instead of the one you bought?
That is the real question.....and true market answer for the OP.

I wouldnt pay anymore than a new 2011 from the dealer with no add ons. Probably take off another thousand just because its now "used" and dont know what he has done with it for those 1000mi, (not saying you messed it up in anyway), but you never know.

Either keep it or part out all the add-ons before you sell it, hopefully you did not let the dealer keep all the stock equipment so you can put it back together again.

Just put a blower on it if you need more power and keep it. That's a great looking truck.

I don't blame him if he wants to pull anything bigger than 20ft. My Tacoma pulls my 17' center console just fine, but I can see anything much larger would be tough.

It could be a great deal for someone looking for an already modded 2011 if they can get it for around $30K from the two posts here. And the seller would have dodged a bigger bullet as well. Trading is not the best option. He needs to get the best price on what he wants..then see what they will give him for his trade. In fact i would not even drive that truck to the dealer I am looking to buy from. Just to keep the dealer from back pocketing it during negotiations.

    neglect, mostly.
sounds like you bought a truck, spent a lot of money on it, want to spend more money on a new boat, so you can buy a bigger truck, that will probably get worse gas mileage the 99% of the time your not hauling your new boat. if i was you, i would do . . . . . . nothing!!! . but that's just me.
