Show off your Custom Skid Plates

Looking for ideas for custom skid plates. Thinking 3/16 steel. Lets see your custom work/ideas

 

I know I have seen diagrams on here too somewhere, for those of you with them lets see those as well! Thanx!

 

No replies eh? Well I am going to mock one up using cardboard to get the shape then transfer it to a piece of 3/16 steel. Ill mark my fold lines and score the inside of the fold with a cutting wheel (maybe get 1/2 way through). Then i will be able to bend it until i get my angle required and run a bead along the score line to set it. Havent gotten under the truck yet as i am on the road but will happen over the next few weeks. Did you get your steel yet? how much was it?

 

I havent ordered my steel yet-waiting for funds. I have a good hook with steel ordering it through my friends shop. I figure 3/16 steel plate big enough for the skid will be about $50.00
