    I forgot this thread existed...been a while.

I just picked up a set of Toyota double cab running boards from another member (Brad -pataco). Thanks Brad! Great meeting you!

The total length looks awesome (when holding them up). At first glance, I'm really positive about being able to make these work. But - I haven't started working on things yet and I'm crossing my fingers.

Anyone know the bolt size for the mounting holes in the body? I'm sure I can do a few test fits, I've got plenty of bolts lying around the garage. Just thought if anyone knew off the top of their head. THANKS!

Looks like you're well on your way to building what you want but if things go south, check out Avid Offroad who is building the Arctic bull bar. I just ordered a set of nerfs for my truck from Brandon and awaiting delivery. We'll see what they look like soon enough but I know he would build anything you want. He does great work and has great prices! Good luck!

I too am interested in doing this. I found your write-up link at Toyota Nation, great job by the way.

Just to clarify, Did you have to shorten the double cab running boards?
I see where you relocated the brackets, but I assumed the double cab boards would be too long and have to be cut. (unless now that you are going to the rear wheel they fit).
I plan on probably buying a new set, so just want to be sure before I order them.

    Thanks

    Shawn

No cutting....what you see in the pictures, is what the double cab running boards are sized at. It's a perfect fit from wheel to wheel. You only need to relocate the bracket and drill 2 holes.

Just be careful stepping on that backside where there's no support.

    Good luck!

I hear your pain... I've searched high and low and you can find the wheel to wheel for Tundra... but not Tacoma. What's up with that !
You are not alone. It's very annoying.
