bought some dyi sliders and i want to paint...got some questions

im thinking ill go w bed liner for my sliders. anyone know what the best brand to use is?

 

I used duplicolor. It sucked. Then rustoluem. That's was a little better. Still sucked. Finally I sprayed plastidip on it. So they have:
3 coats of primer
3 duplicolor bedliner
2 rustoleum bedliner
1 plastidip

 

IF U HAD TO DO IT OVER, HOW WOULD U DO IT?

 

I did one coat of POR15 and 3 coats of Rustoleum bed liner. It is all about the prep work though. They are only 4 months old, but I am pretty happy with them so far. I dont really wheel though, but I've cruised through some desert terrain. Nothing is going to hold up to sliding over rocks though.

 

I have actually used mine a bunch of times. Came down on then, slid across them. When you do that, no matter what you put on them, it's coming off. If you never plan on getting them on a rock powdercoat or sure. If you do plan on using them a little, I still say powdercoat. Then touch up with spray when you do scratch them. So that's what I would do. If you really don't want to pay for powdercoat I say primer then 3 coats of plastidip and rustoleum bedliner. Not sure if I would do the rustoleum or plastidip first. But either way would be good.

 

im 2wd so i dont see that happening. probably the worst i see is someone opening their door into my slider
